About CSYS
Coral Springs Youth Soccer has been providing the Recreational Soccer program for the City of
Coral Springs, Florida for over 25 years. We have grown with the city to over
3300 active players
each season. As one of the most highly-praised sports programs in the city,
we are proud of our returning player ratio each year, along with the growth of our
city’s competitive soccer programs, whose primary source of players are the
"graduates" of CSYS.
Who runs CSYS
Coral Springs Youth Soccer is a
non-profit corporation not affiliated with the City of Coral Springs. We are governed by a
25 member Board of Directors, all volunteers. The Board meets
monthly throughout the entire year to provide a quality program during the 4-month season.
The City provides the fields for use by the soccer program, and we continually work with
them to provide adequate field space, lighting and facilities.
Funding
Coral Springs Youth Soccer
is funded by registration fees collected from each player and sponsorship
fees charged to sponsors. These fees are used to provide uniforms,
insurance, referee fees, trophies and awards and other operational expenses.
As part of our arrangement
with the City to utilize the parks, we are required to collect a 'Sports
Participation Fee'. This fee (currently $14) is included in the per-player
registration amount we collect and passed directly on to the City.
